Subject: [CR]Fiamme and Ambrosio rims - again

Hello all,

Just finished an archive search, but my questions remain.

When did Fiamme stop stamping their rims "Made In Italy"? I have a set of Fiamme rectangular label tubular rims where the top line of the F runs across the top of the intire word Fiamme. I'm guessing this is an 80's tubular rim.

Next, I found a NOS set of Ambrosio Extra 19 clinchers rims, but there are no spoke re-inforcing grommets, and the label size and writing is much smaller than some other, perhaps newer, Ambrosio Extra 19 rims I have seen. Any clue as to the date of manufacture?

There is much speculation about Fiamme and Ambrosio rims in the archives, but nothing solid. Thank you in advance if you can offer some good info.
