Subject: [CR]D2R2 Ride Report

Inspired by the Norm Lafleur's vintage ride along the Green River in Dee rfield, Massachsetts, Chocolate John and Showercap Mike rode the 100k ve rsion of the annual August D2R2 in nearby Greenfield. We were greeted by hills the first part of the ride. The mid -section gave a 10 mile respi te and the final third being mix of up and downs. Regardless of what gea r we chose along the route livestock greatly outnumbered cars and all sh opping malls had been mysteriously replaced with trees and scenic overlo oks. Terrain was a even split of dirt and pavement with nothing too tech nical that 32 mm tires, a decent set of low gears, a frim grip, and a se nse of adventure couldnt handle.
