I\u2019ve been a CR listmember for several years, but attended my first Cirque last weekend. After a brutally long, hot drive, I arrived to find the Best Western hallwa ys strewn with some of the most beautiful bicycles I have seen. I met some people I had emailed with several times, and got to put a lot of faces to names I had known. I came home with months\u2019 worth of proj ects to pursue and many new contacts to keep up. I also made the mistake of taking Peter Koskinen up on his offer to try to drink him out of beer. A valiant effort made an imperceptible dent in his s upply, but left me with a painful hangover. Despite the heat, the fatigue and the hangover, I had one of the best weeke nds I have spent in years. I\u2019m already making my arrangements to come to next year\u2019s C irque.
