Subject: [CR]Zues bike carcass

Hello all:

agt my last visit to the alameda pt collaborative at the decommissioned navy base on Alameda Island, I noticed an orange Zeus road bike. Eyeballing it, looks like a 54cm frame. Lightweight frame with ZEUS decals on down and seat tubes, and ZEUS derailluers, centerpull brakes, and a few other components. it looksa like the original front wheel was on there- steel with a dimpled sidewall ,and a steel high flange hub. Rear wheel was missing, the bike is in pretty rough condition, but it would make a great daily rider or a fixed conversion if that would not be too traumatic for the ZEUS-o-philes. It seems there's some sort of vintage value/heritage associatged with the remainder of the bike and I would hate to see it be stripped for parts or turned into a parking rack.

I am no longer associated with APC, but thought I should mention it to the list. If there is interest from someone here I'd be glad to make something happen.

Best Regards,
