Is it that small red frame? Bottecchia's have been commanding very high pri ces lately. Since I saw Ray Dobbins' photo layout of his '92 Equipe KOF b ike a while back I've been waiting for one in my size to come along while I had some extra change but seemingly within the last few months the price s have gone through the roof. A couple months ago I was watching a late 80' s Bott in the classic red/white/chrome color scheme like Ray's, in excell ent condition but with a Victory crankset and derailleurs installed instead of the expected Super Record and it went for $1675! And even a lowly ea rly 70's Special went for $330 the other day! Not that I have any proof b ut it seems that demand is increasing for vintage bikes and Bottecchia's ar e great eye candy, especially for new comers who aren't atuned to the subtl e (or sometimes not so subtle) variations in workmanship of a mass produced brand like that. Hello Listmembers,
I have
been watching this as it is in my size, but over 1,000.00 for the frameset
in the last hour? The workmanship on this is not exceptional. What gives h
ere?
