Don's Bertin has a chainring setup that I've never seen before that perhaps someone on the list may be able to explain. In one of the photos at: http://www.mallettservices.com/bertin.html the six bolt TA ring has five evenly spaced adapters(?) on the inside of the inner ring. Five pins suggest a five armed crank, but these seem kind of minimalist for standing on the crank. Can anyone tell me off list or on, just what these are?

Happy trails,

Dan Artley in Parkton, MD
