Those wishing to attend are invited to let me know, though it is not absolutely necessary to do so at this point. I'm sure I can even accomodate a few last-minute deciders. I have chosen one of the local bike club's half-metric rides, which rolls right by my house. It is rated as "flat terrain" on the club's website. In my opinion, that's a bit optimistic - I rode it today and would rate it as rolling. Nothing too long or steep, however. 28 miles at about 14 mph is the plan. There is a 15-mile option for those who prefer - many of the same roads, just a little less scenery to take in. The route covers many of the same roads as the "official" Covered Bridge metric scheduled for a week later, often in the opposite direction, including 4 covered bridges (and the house where Floyd Landis grew up). Lunch at my place will follow the ride. I can provide more details (address and etc.) and info for those who RSVP or email me requesting to learn more, as I don't want to take up too much space here. If it's as sunny as it was today, it should be a really beautiful ride, albeit warmish. Hope to see you!
