I do think it's actually pretty cool that it's still being ridden, and in decent shape.

Sure, I'd like to have one just like it, but without talking to the owner you just can't get the whole story.

A couple weeks ago at the shop I work for we had a tree come down in a thunderstorm. It was leaning over the bike path, and seemed to be an imminent hazard. A couple riders came in to wait for the rain to run its course, which turned to hail. As I looked at the bike one guy had, I noticed it was a Serotta built Murray. Then I saw the number hanger....So I mentioned that I thought it was an interesting bike, and did he know who the rider had been. The answer was that the rider had been the guy still riding it. It had been his bike while he was on the junior team. So he knew exactly what he had. He found it interesting how many people knew what the bike was, he figured he only met a few people each year that noticed enough to ask about it.

Any Ex 7-11 guys in North Beach?

Well, at least it hasn't been hacked to pieces, has all of its gears...and is still being ridden by someone! By the way, what Shimano stuff is that? Looks like 600?

Just trying to be positive...
