Buddy Jeff Potter (the Publisher of Out Your Back Door and brother of CR member Tim Potter) just laid a copy of Cog magazine on me. The "O" in the center of the word cog is represented by a cog in the logo. It is a big glossy magazine that comes out 4 times a year and costs $30 a year to subscribe to. The issue he gave me does not seem to have any date or issue # on it but has a gorgeous photo of a black '70s Paramount track bike on the cover. Inside it are classy photos of mostly fixie bikes and track bikes, too. There is a wonderful and well illustrated article on Keirin racing and another on Johnny Cycles with heavy emphasis on that gorgeous bike that he won Best Track Bike with at the '06 North American Hand Made Bike Show. There is coverage of both American and Japanese goings on. Most attractive bike mag I've seen since the ill fated Asphalt, and miles beyond the run of the mill bike magazines that all manage to be just alike. Photos as good or better than any other bike mag I've ever seen. A real breath of fresh air.
