Well i just wanted to drop a small notice now that i've joined your little bike community, and i'm planning to be lurking on it for some time.
My bike interest started pretty recently, when me and a friend began to build my new singlespeed bike. He had a decent scholarship in bikes, wheras his father is bidden by a crazy rider, and knew how to set a bike up. I had only ridden poor bikes and my experiences in the subject was overall bad, so i had no idea how fun it could be to ride a new, selfbuild and most of all well chosen bike, and absolutely not the tiniest glimse of how amazingly fun it is to build, replace and repair on it! Well it then went pretty fast and i suddenly found myself using huge amount of time reading and experimenting on whatever bike related material i could get my oiled hands on.
Always being fascinated of wellbuild and soulfull objects with patina and a history, there wasn't really a long way to discovering vintage bikes and falling in love with those steel beauties! The lines, the style and the handwork i find incredibly, and i cant do nothing but being embarisingly jalous at the owners of such bikes, of wich i, as you might have guessed, to my own dissapointment, own none.
Some of my bike related dreams are getting a colnago frame wich i regard as nearly the sweetest finished frames available, and finding a pogliaghi track frame(which are also one of my bike niche passions(track bikes)) fully equipped with pista super record, except the stem and handlebar wich of course would be cinelli. Until then, i'll ride around on my not very vintage but still sweet, sweet bike, which i have standing next to my bed, so i can always keep an eye on it.
