"...guess...Andy Gilmour..."

I've seen at least a hundred Gilmour bikes over the years, (including mine built in the early to mid 80's), and I have never seen one with a 'G' cut-out. His identifying logo is a Thunderbird. There are several list members in Tucson who may know of one, but I'm betting against it...and yes, his steel bikes are highly regarded, ridden, and collected.

Steve,

It's just a guess but Andy Gilmour has been building frames in Tucson for a long time. I don't know if he's been in the business since 1973 but the components may be older than the frame. I've not seen many examples of his work but he is highly regarded. I also don't know if he does the "G" cut-outs. BTW, if it was in "immaculate" condition 15-20 years ago what the hell happened? It looks like it spent those years in a shark tank.
