Through ebay I emailed Mr. Denny a request for more info about the bike. I asked if he would supply the original untranslated Italian email from Ugo De Rosa. I also asked if he would send a photo of the bike before restoration. His response is and I quote "Sure, if you're the winning bidder." I consider this illogical response to be an insult to my intelligence or an inartfull dodge to a straight forward question. Bid on the 1958 De Rosa at your own risk.
In the early 80's I sold new and used Ford Cars for Douglas Ford in Pacific Beach San Diego. For all the things I did there that I am ashamed of, I apologize, but I swear I never stooped so low as to be completely and utterly illogical.
Unlike Mr. Denny, I will gladly supply copies of his response and my question for those listmembers that like me find his words implausible.
