For those of you who have been following my framebuilding odyssey -- or not! -- I have finally got it ready for painting. Photos can be seen here:

http://twoseriousbikes.blogspot.com/

To recap, it is a fixed-gear bike modelled after the Rene Herse winter training bike featured in Bicycle Quarterly 5.2. 73/73 angles, 53mm of rake, a whopping and somewhat unintentional 83mm of BB drop. It will sport Grand Bois Cerf 28 tires, fenders, 47-57 Tektro sidepull brakes front and rear, a frame pump... and little else, for the moment.

It's heading to Noah Rosen at Velocolour tomorrow, for a grey-blue paint job with dark blue decals and box lining -- a colour scheme inspired by another Rene Herse: the tandem that Jan Heine and Jaye Haworth rode in PBP 2003.

More photos to follow when said paint job is complete...
