A little late, I know, but my mother just sent me this nice obituary for Ian Hibell from The Economist: http://www.economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=12202333

I never realized he was from Brixham and worked in Paington. My mother is from Paington, and I have fond memories of the town from my summer there with my grandparents in 1965.
