Subject: [CR]Thoughts about anodizing

Having spent the better part of the day stripping the anodizing off of a pair of OT Dura Ace track cranks, I have compiled my thoughts on one of the aesthetic definers of classic-era bicycle components: polished aluminum.

Though a lesser evil to my mind than fragile carbon (there's no shininess dormant under THERE, after all), anodizing does help contribute to the "disposability" of many newer products. Anodizing wears off, collects dirt, and eventually looks ugly. Non-anodized aluminum, with some polish, will stay looking beautiful forever...
