I received a pair of barcons but whomever owned these before must have tried to loosen one of them by turning the bolt counter-clockwise and they stripped out the allen bolt.
I managed to unscrew the barcons by plugging an allen wrench through the mounting hole and leveraging it against the inside of the shifter pod, to get it removed. then i disassembled the retaining spring and the 3 trapezoidal wedges, clamped the screw in a vice-grip wrench and got it all apart.
But the barcon expander bolt with a funny allen slot in the tip, is stripped (within the tip.)
Does someone have a spare dura ace shifter pod? Or a spare expander bolt with the funny allen slot in the tip, for sale, trade, or ransom?
Is there anything that can be done rehabilitate a stripped out allen-bolt?
