Subject: [CR]Cycling books

List, Day before yesterday I picked up a couple of classics for cheap: Eugene Sloane's book in the 4th edition, and Archibald Sharp's classic work on bicycle engineering design originally published in 1898. I think I may have heard of Sharp's book once upon a time, but this is the first time actually seeing it. A search of the CR list archives shows that many of you are familiar with it. It is quite an amazing achievement. I was surprised, however, about Sloane's book, that even in the 4th edition its otherwise good bibliography makes no mention of Sharp's book, although the latter had been reprinted way back in the 70's. It also happened there was a copy of Brandt's bicycle wheel book on the bookstore shelf at the same time. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough, but flipping through it I didn't find a bibliography at all.
