Randy - I just put a standard allen nut in the vice and drill it out with a 1/4" drill. You need a very sharp drill and have to go very slowly in order for it not to grab the nut and spin it in the vice. And you can't grip it too hard with the vice or you will crush it. Might be best to make a block of wood with an 8 mm hole that is cut in half to grip it with in the vice.
good luck

hello,
recently purchased a condor frame and fork that someone drilled to take recessed-mount brakes.
does anyone know of an off-the-shelf bushing to take up the slack between the brake bolt and the enlarged hole so i can use nutted brakes on this frame?
or is there some other way of dealing with this?
thanks, randy dugan van nuys, ca usa
