I have one bike with 'provenance', a Pogliaghi pista owned and ridden by an Australian Olympic rider, and multiple national title holder. I've got no 'written' proof of the bikes history, other that word of mouth (from a VERY reputatble seller) and an email or two from the original owner. As far as I can tell it's the same as any other Pogliaghi produced in the early 80's. Does it make me a better rider? One would hope so, but the sad truth is that while it inspires me it doesn't make me any faster, nor bestow mad bike handling skills on me, its just a well made well balanced bike. As for Lambert, I rode a Viscount Aerospace Pro in the 70's. I liked it then and I like them now. I'd hardly call Lambert, and what the company tried to do a novelty. I really like the analogy of Lambert/Viscount with the Tucker automobile, a flawed implementation of a brilliant idea.
