Subject: [CR]Shipping to Canada

I am constantly amazed by the difficulties & costs USA'ians claim regarding shipping to Canada (never mind to Alaska and Hawaii).

This is how you do it.

Anything up to and including the size of wheels and rims should go by USPS First Class Air. This is cheap, reliable and reasonably quick. Within a week -- sometimes less -- is the norm. Up to a pound package costs less than $5 postage. A pair of rims costs less than $20 postage. Customs forms consists of one small label affixed to the package. Takes 10 seconds to fill out.

Frames and complete bikes go by Fed Ex ground. A frame is delivered this way for less than $60, within 5 days. There is a bit more paperwork, but it's no more complicated than filling out the FedEx waybill itself.
