Speaking of Ideale saddles, I am in need of a clamp for an alloy rails model saddle. I have the outer side fittings, shaft, nuts and washers. The part I need is the alloy clamp itself; it is the clamp that has the slotted flanges extending from the back for the little saddle positioning/locking screws.

If anyone has said clamp, please contact me offlist. I may have a part for trade, or I will buy the clamp.

I have photos, but have no idea how to "host" photos. I can send photos of the broken piece I have (peice I need) if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be grateful for any advice about the possibility of repairing it.

I do have some other Ideale saddles - which don't have the sought-after Duralumin frame - and wondered whether it would be possible to do a leather transplant. Or would anybody be able to make a replacement leather?

Thanks,
