Reading about the guys wearing wing-tip shoes took me back to the early-70's, when I was regular attendee of Los Angeles Wheelman rides....another regular attendee was Roger Durham (of Bullseye Components fame), and I was always intrigued by his choice of riding wear- slacks, shirt with collar (usually long-sleeved), and, of course, brown or black wing-tip shoes. He even sported custom-made hardwood pedals, to give his shoes optimal support. Roger made quite an impression; his self-built 'Camel' oversized-aluminum bike, and radically eliptic chainrings added to the effect. BTW- anyone know if Bullseye is still in buisness?

Working my way out of financial hole right now, so I have listed a number of on-topic (and a few off-topic) items on e-bay....Gold MAFAC 2000 brakes (NOS), TA & Stronglight crank arms, and others. Many more items to follow, look under my seller's handle curmudgeon1957*. Your CR cred gets you a break on shipping charges.

Also, don't forget the NAHBS CR reception at The Recyclery, on Feb. 9th, at 7pm. Lots of folks have RSVP'd; there will be beer & pizza, Huffy Toss and other games, lots of on-topic stuff on display (and for sale or trade), and a mini-swap. There will also be an industry-oriented party just around the corner from us at Plan B; don't get the two events confused (no cool bikes at the other one!). As the NAHBS draws nearer, I will post maps & directions for out-of-town CR folk to use in finding us. Hope to see ya there!
