Gentlemen, I started frequenting Turin back in about 1972 at the 2100 N. Clark location. In about 1974(?) they moved to a larger store on the 1900 block of N. LaSalle Street where in addition to bikes they also sold camping and cross country ski gear. I bought my first Colnago Super and a Paramount track bike at this store. I think that late in the 70's they moved to a smaller store on the 2400 block of N. Clark Street but this one didn't last too long ,unfortunately . There was also aTurin bike shop on the North Pier Shopping mall in the 80's which was much closer to downtown Chicago. I always found the guys and girls at Turin to be friendly and knowledgable about bike stuff and the outdoors gear that they sold. They always seemed to have an outstanding selection of bikes a lot of which one wouldn't see anywhere else. They were and still are a big presence in the Chicago area cycling scene through their racing team , organized rides, and their Evanston store activities. All in all, a great shop. cheers George Chan Skokie, Illinois USA
