You might try a rack like this: http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=24019&subcategory_ID=6600 It's freestanding, and you can actually fit two bikes on each pair of arms (although you have to add some padding in the back), for a total of four per rack. You could probably add the shorter arms to the other side and fit two more, although that's not really useful if it's going to be against a wall. We have three of these in our vestibule, and they work great. The commuter bikes get the front bottom positions, and lighter but frequently ridden bikes get the front top positions. They're a great option if you don't have walls that you can put sturdy enough hooks into for one reason or another. Nashbar also has them, and I think you can get them various other places under various other brand names as well.

Hey all, I am trying to find an appropriate way to store my bicycles while at the same time have easy enough access to them. What seems to be the most sensible option is to use hooks on a wall and hang them verticly by the rear wheel. However, the only wall space that I can devote to that exists over a working radiator. Could sitting over this type of heat cause any damage to them? Any opinions or suggestions would be great. Thanks,
