I've made all the common tools like headset presses and drivers, most recently a Sheldon Brown nut-and-bolt BB fixed cup remover. However, here's something I haven't seen mentioned. You know how you have to remove the Q/R and springs to use a freewheel remover and then clamp everything back together with a big nut for a spacer to make up for the dropout thickness? I made a 3/8" thick steel block with a "U" slot to slip in place without disassembling the Q/R and perhaps dropping one of the springs. (Okay, it's not in my toolbox, I can't find it and I'm back to using a big nut.)
