With the listmeisters permission I offer this beautiful black and chrome 1988 Davidson for sale. I sold the bike new to one of Seattle's first four bike cops, and he never rode it. That's right, zero miles. As I recall he was injured on the job right about then and could no longer ride. He passed away last year at age 69 and his widow brought me the bike to find a new home for it. It is our Davidson signature, a top of the line frame made with Takahashi investment cast lugs including cast dropouts, fork crown, and front derailleur boss, with chrome chainstays, crown and ends. Most likely Prestige tubing although it could be SL or even SLX. Internal tube for brake cable. Size is 55 cm, measured the way we always do, center to top, with a 55 cm top tube. (Dang, perfectly my size!) Full C-Record group with Delta brakes, even a Campy 13-24 6 speed freewheel and Campy Delta Chromium SL rims. Downtube shifters are indexing, and it actually works. Tires are Vittoria Oscar X open tubulars. Regina chain, and Cinelli leather covered bars with the openable stem and matching Unicanitor seat. Even the proper Campy aero bottle and cage. I cleaned the bike up to look like new. Had to overhaul the derailleur pulleys as the grease had turned to cardboard, but otherwise it didn't need much at all. A once in a lifetime opportunity to own a NOS 20-year old top of the line bike from a classic American builder with Campy's most beautiful parts ever. Offered at $4000 + shipping. Here are the pics:
