Having completed Doug Fattic's class over the summer, finished the frame up, had it painted, and built it up over the fall, I've now taken my next step: I've ordered five sets of NOS Reynolds 531.
These come with Imperial-oval fork blades, which is great -- but it makes the search for a fork crown much more difficult. Especially since I'm ideally looking for a flat crown with 60mm of wheel clearance.
Such crowns much exist, though. (Indeed, Jan's new Grand Bois in the latest Bicycle Quartlerly has one!) If you happen to have a flat, wide crown (I'm interested in anything above around 50mm), please let me know!
