One could probably ask for a more beautiful day, but it would be difficult to get it: brilliant sunshine to warm everything up, the perfect fall day for this part of the country full of color and clear skies.
Lots of folks there, lots of stuff, but I agree with Michael Schmidt's report, the higher dollar stuff wasn't moving. I'd make mental notes to come back to items later, with the secret hope that the items would have sold. No such luck. In the end I walked away with a couple of wheelsets and handlebars.
Always fun though: the combination of weather, parts and bikes to fondle and oogle, and folks there. I dragged my brother with me, show him the eastern bike goofs as opposed to his Colorado bike goofs. He was pleased. Like me, he was and is amazed at the variety of people interested in bikes, especially the track stuff: lots of that there too.
Fun to meet up with folks: talk of the Cirque with the Binghams, chat of the esoteric and weird with Larry Osborn, and wander the aisles with Charlie Young. Dan Artley there, Kevin Kruger, Sam with some very cool bikes for sale. Many other CR folks.
Cheers.
