When I posted my last link to photos of my newly completed frame, I promised I wouldn't bother the list with any more links. Well, a kindhearted listmember called "nonsense" on this and demanded a ride report! Well, here it is!
Having been occupied yesterday evening inspecting that damaged Mariposa, I wrote up the ride report now. It was a beautiful fall ride through the rolling and sometimes steep terrain northwest of Toronto to the scenic town of Acton (famous in these parts for its "Olde Hide House," whose advertisements promise it's "worth the drive to Acton." I can promise it's worth the ride as well!). This was the longest ride I've ever done in a fixed gear, and it was surprisingly pleasant. I walked Niles up the steep hills and spun like mad down the descents, but really enjoyed even that. And I did the ride half an hour faster than I ever have before.
