Bruce, I guess that answers my question. If you don't know what I mean about a sleeve, there is no sleeve.

The reason I thought there was a sleeve is that there is a "step" along t he top edge of the lug. The inside of the top edge is lower than the out er edge. It's pretty clear in the photo:

Whatever the construction technique for this, kudos.

I’m not sure what you mean about a sleeve?? As for the construction me thods – I worked with Ross Shafer, founder of Salsa Cycles. There are things going on inside that you don’t see. Ross and I decide d not to divulge the secrets at this time, and I respect his desires. They could be produced a lot easier if there was $$$$ to set up production. Anyone with a wheelbarrow of $$$ - give me a call. I’m currently working on a new Lugged Titanium bike that will be done for the San Diego Bike Show in April 2009 that Brian Baylis is promoting. Regards, Bruce Gordon

Congratulations Bruce, that is a spectacular frame!

Is there a sleeve in the seat lug, or is that just the way you profiled t he top edge of the seat lug? The more I look at it, the more I think it' s not a sleeve...which would make that a pretty incredible bit of work.

BTW, this is the photo that shows the seat lug (thanks Dale):
