Funny how often you see old bikes that ended up with the "wrong" wheel or w heels. Here it isn't obvious because front and rear appear to have the s ame model of hub and the same model of rim, but if you look closely you'll see that the front is 32-hole and the rear is 28. The 32-hole front is o ut of place on a TT bike like this, especially when the rear has fewer sp okes. The bike is begging for a 28-hole or 24-hole radial SSC gray with Mavic hub... not a small added cost for owning this bike. OTOH, the fron t is pretty obvisoulsy from the stocks of whatever team this bike once belo nged to... it's just more of a road race wheel than a TT wheel. Maybe it could be viewed as part of the bike's story, but I'd want the TT ft whee l. Overall, a very cool example of early 80's not-so-aero aero.
