I am looking at putting some period tubulars on Mavic hubs for an all mavic early 80s steel bike. Is there a significant difference between the cx 18s and the ssc rims? Would it be difficult to keep the 24 h cx 18s true? Thes e will be ridden by a 180 lb intermediate rider. Any reccomendations re tir es?
