so i just eyeballed a couple different sets of "c-record" brake levers and i saw a difference in the design of the little metal "leverage plates" for aero cable routing. these are from the non-variable leverage levers.
variant #1 - i'll call it the "flat-groove" plate. it's basically flat w ith a groove down the center where the cable goes.
variant #2 - i'll call it the "v-groove" plate. the plate has a pronounc ed V shape, and down the center of this V is the groove for the cable.
seems to me the flat vs. V would have an impact on the cable-pull and lever age. i'm curious if there is a meaningful difference in how these insert swork, whether there is an "ideal" campy brake caliper which they're supposed to work with. maybe one is "better" for c-record deltas or croc e d'aune deltas or cobaltos or something else.
