Hi John,

I'd guess that the rear tab is for normal derailleurs = Campagnolo, whereas the front tab is for Huret and equivalent. You can see one example of Huret dropouts here: http://www.velobase.com/ViewSingleFramePart.aspx?ID=40FBCF52-ED5F-4C0D-AA8B-F6F5915546A4&AbsPos=20
