I think we should try to take advantage of the fact that Selle San Marco will produce saddles with custom coverings with an order as small as 50 pieces, and you can mix and match saddles.
What this means, for example, is that if you want, I think you could order the following, for example :
12 Rolls saddles in white leather 12 Concor saddles in baby-blue suede 12 Concor saddles in red suede 14 Rolls saddles in yellow suede ======== = 50 saddles total
Note : You can add regular offerings to an order to reach the 50-saddle minimum - I added a concor sette zero to a 50-saddle order to help put it over the top. so what we'd need to do is to partner with a bike shop that's ordering some standard saddles anyway, to meet the custom-order quantities.
If this is really the case, then we should consider doing it becuase this vintage saddle revival may not last forever. Steve Maasland conducted a 50-saddle order in the spring of 2007.
