In 1974 I baught a Follis club bike that came with a light plastic saddle.
I immediately replaced the plastic saddle with a leather Ideale 90.
Almost 35 years and ~35,000 miles later the saddle is still going strong.
Its been on all my riding bikes, in all kinds of weather, mostly without fenders.
The worst punishment it ever got was being stored in a box for many years.
Best bicycle investment I ever made.
