I think you may be thinking of Shoei, Mike. As for Showa, I had no idea the y did anything other than motorcycle forks- as I remember, Honda (and Har ley Davidson, believe it or not) used them.

I just know Showa as a helmet brand, marketing mostly motorbike helmets... Hope that helps a bit.
