Two unusual bikes have come my way during the last fortnight, and today
I managed to put the photos my son took on wooljersey.
The first one is a Norwegian DBS. I have googled the brand, found out that DBS is the abbreviation for the completely unpretentious Norwegian
"The Best Bicycle". That´s about all I know so far - no year, no model. What sort of saddle will I need to complete the bike? Any Scandinavian
members? While the hefty fenders might not be to everyone´s taste, the
rear two-sided free-fixed hub and the beautiful dropped handlebars
definitively make the machine fit for consumption on these premises.

Next there is a Colnago track bike. I´m not a great fan of Italian bikes and not knowledgeable in the least, so could anyone please fill me in on model, year, and the like? I do know that the frame has been kitted out with a mixed bag of bits, some unmentionable on CR, but the
frame itself should be alright, and the NR Pista cranks should raise a
lip with some people. The awful lettering on the top tube was put on by
a former owner and means "Winner of Gold Cup 1993". It will come off easily with the help of a hairdryer. I hope. People might also need the
help of a hairdryer, professional variety, to dry their tears if I told
them what I paid for this beauty, so I won´t. Ebay users must not tink
they missed something, it wasn´t a find on an electric auction - I´m
not even a member of ebay.

Please, PLEASE do not e-mail me any photos - my computer is nearly ten
years old and on analog dial up internet, so photos invariably cause chaos.
