I had some ( do not remember brand ) old highly acclaimed tyres, that looked new.
Put them on a bike and had the same "noise" with terrible handling.
Cut the tyres to trash them and found the tread portion had sepperated from the casing, only in the center
of the tread , not on the edges. There was a space where the tread was not bonded to the casing, letting
tread to float or move around when turning or leaning off any vertical contact with the road.
This may be what you are are experencing?
