Subject: [CR]Looking For Italian Ladies Bike

In the small town that we moved to 3 years ago, is a tiny Italian deli. Business hours are very short, and for the first year or so I never managed to try it out. When I did, I discovered the most wonderful Italian lady from Napoli who makes sandwiches that are unlike anything I have had during the 31 years I have been in California. It is as if she was transported directly from my neighborhood in Manhattan and plunked down in this town just to make me remember New York. My wife and I now make weekly visits to Maria's shop and consider her a friend.

On a recent visit, my wife started talking about my love for vintage Italian bikes. Apparently, Maria's eyes lit up and she started talking about how much she wished she could find an older Italian ladies bike to ride around town, like the ones she remembers from her youth in Italy.

I'm watching E-Bay, but I was wondering if one of the group might have something like this that they thought would be a project but never got around to starting. Something from the 50's or 60's perhaps, not a racer, more of a town bike, and not a show bike, as it would be a daily rider. But definitely Italian. If you have something like this, give me a description and price, and maybe we can work something out.

I'm willing to put in the time, and whatever parts I have, to complete a partial bike, if necessary. And yes, I am trying to curry favor with this artist of the sandwich. She really is a sweetheart, and it would be fun to brighten her day.

Thanks in advance
