Subject: [CR]rare track stems for trade

i have two stems that have been functioning quite well as paperweights but that i can't help but to think would be more at home on period-correct bikes.

i don't feel like dealing with ebay and i'm not terribly interested in selling them outright...but i got to thinking that perhaps someone who might want them might have some interesting items to trade.

1. Cinell Steel #4 Adjustable Stayer stem. Brian Baylis rechrome (came with a bike that brian painted) from the 90s that has never been installed on a bike since. Gleaming chrome, crisp crests, correct clamp, correct bolts. Perfect for a show bike and probably as good as they come.

2. Philippe Piste Stem, bought NOS on eBay. not sure if it is french or american sized. red paint accents. the gorgeous underslung model. some shop wear but the chrome is perfect.

i will have more items to post (a cinelli old logo 2a track stem, an airlite 28h rear hub, a reg saddle support) as i go through my parts drawers but i thought i would throw these out there and see if there is any interest.

as for trades, i am mainly interested in: british track bikes 50s-70s, a badged cinelli stem, and a track frame with drilled forks in beater/lockup/cosmetically imperfect but mechanically and structurally sound condition, and a set of 32/40 sprint rims, as heavy duty as possible. size 55-57 for frames. or try me.

not interested in road bikes or njs (i only mention this because that was all i got offered last time i put something out for trade). ;)

any reasonable offer considered.

photos on request.

thanks
