"Many of the riders at the 2006 L'Eroica thought my '79 Richard Sachs was a German Bike. Some of the locals would point and say, "Reechard Sachs, Deutschlander, eh? Ok?"

They were guessing that the man was German, and in some ways they were probably right. I'd bet Sachs' people were German at some point (Sachs = Saxon).

Then there's my German friend who believes that Kraft Dinner is German food, not the American interpretation of fettucine Alfredo! Unlike Mr. Kraft, Confente improved upon the Italian original.
