First with removing, tightening or installing Cotters
* its probably OK to use the hammer method but you need to support the arm, otherwise you are driving the ball bearings into the races of the cups * I forget the proper orientation of the cotter is it large end up or down?
I bought a Holdworth ''Special'' in 1981 or so, I remember it was more of an all rounder with eyelets and a longer wheelbase (the wheelbase approximated my mid 60s Cinelli) nothing fancy in paint without lug lining. Cost was about $250, I decided against the ''Professional'' as it was $300. This bike was passed on to a friend who is on the faculty at BYU. I helped his Dad assemble his first bike at Christmas a long time ago
