That is a good question. The workmanship of the bike is sublime. The lugs and other parts clearly are the same Bianchi used at the time. Unlike Merckx' bike, which is easy to ID from the heart in the BB shell as a De Rosa, Coppi's Bianchi is so far back in time that I don't have a good idea.

I'll ask the framebuilders' list - somebody there, like Brian Baylis, might know.
