Received the Tesch frame today, this is exquisite.  Dave was a genius.   It always amazes me that some of the big name Italian frames can go for $2000, even though it is doubtful the guy whose name appears on them ever touched them, while a frame undoubtedly made by the hands of genius goes fo r $550.  Not complaining, mind you, just amazed.

Jerry,

Those unusual fork crowns were cast by A.D. Stump (aka Art Stump). Dave was about the only place I've seen that crown in use. I have several of them in my box full of fork crowns.

I bought the Tesch, frameset only.  I hope CR members also got the two Sa chs.  I still have to build up the Sachs frame I bought off eBay and h ad

restored by Joe Bell.

The seller Taz Taylor is also a CR member, and seems a very nice guy.  I

note that both in his pics and in those of other Tesch frames on the CR sit e, the frames have a extreme sloping fork crown, almost approaching the app earance of a modern unicrown fork.  Anyone know what fork crownTesch u sed on these frames?
