FWIW, sometimes the s/h charges shown by eBay are higher than what the
seller would actually charge. Recently I was interested in a very
small item that showed $17 for shipping to Canada. I asked the seller
whether it was really 17 bucks, to which he replied that no, he'd
charge me much less and that the $17 was auto-calculated by eBay and
was in that case wrong. My understanding is that this is more likely
to occur for across the border shipping (as I'm in Canada, this is
usually the case for me).
