The CLB2s are indeed unusual. Sold as "self-actuating" and originally auditioned at the Paris show in, I think, 1973. The pivots are set at a 45\u02da angle. This makes for interesting action- reaction responses if one holds the brakes and squeezes them with one's hands. There is, like many CLB products in the last years of the original company, (I say that because the name has been resurrected and you can today find new seatposts bearing the CLB moniker, quite nice ones, too.) a titanium-appearing finish to the alloy surfaces. The yoke is definitely not Ti as it is magnetic, plus Ti wire is far too elastic in nature to be effective in this application. That is why it is used in things like orthodontics where it can apply very light forces. I just weighed mine. The front is 159g; the rear is 160g.
