Speaking of alive and well. This frame (a very early 70s Pogliaghi):

initially had a buy-it-now of $325.00. Of course someone immediately bid enough to knock off the buy it now. In accordance with the sniping discussion I waited until the last 20 seconds or so to put in my generous $350.00 bid, figuring it wasn't too stupid to overpay the buy it now, which presumably the seller had thought was a pretty fair price. Well what'd ya know I was a little light... it went for $1280.99. A pretty pleasant surprise for the Sultan I guess.
