You know, it's funny. Some people love Bose 901 loudspeakers, others prefer Magneplanars.

With bikes I guess it's the same way...I haven't ridden a *lot* of bikes, but of those that I have, I strongly prefer Colnagos. My favorite bike is an '89 Spiral Conic SLX, a bike that replaced a custom Condor Cycles built for me in 1981.

That Colnago has been supplemented by a C40 and a Dream, the latter for racing. My everyday bike now is a late Cambridge-built Merlin Extralight, which rides quite a bit like the Spiral Conic SLX.

The funny thing is that I briefly owned an '84 or '85 Cinelli that, on paper, should have been quite similar to the Colnago...but I never liked how it rode...it just didn't feel right to me. And I'm sitting on a late Dave Tesch that I know just won't feel right to me, so I'm going to let it go without ever building it up.

But I have heard Lou's sentiments regarding DeRosa's before (from others too), and would love to try out a 50-52cm example at some point.
