It was cold and windy this morning in Berlin, where Susan and I are visiting (and I have a meeting), but Kim Klakow showed up on a not-to-be-named beater, and I had assembled my steel lugless BF (off-topic), and off we went for a great ride around Berlin. We went on-road, on bike-path, across and along tram tracks, Ost and West, and spent an hour with Dustin at his shop, http://www.cicli-berlinetta.de. This is a shop with nothing but vintage bikes, and some lovely eye candy there. And great converstation, in which it became clear that Kim is more fond of French machines than Dustin is. I learned a bit about the two sides and their history, saw scenes I will not forget, and had a great time - followed by an excellent Turkish lunch with Kim and Susan. I just might have to check out Dustin's web site, but in the meantime, it's obviously the place to go for vintage bikes in Berlin - and some nice KOF track frames, too.
